Kaley Kokomoor

Executive Director

About

Kaley (she/her/hers) grew up in Mystic, CT then graduated from Bowdoin College in 2013 with her BA in English and Africana Studies and a minor in teaching. She taught elementary school in Connecticut and Maine for several years and tutored students on Nantucket during her summer holidays. After the summer of 2017, Kaley decided to make Nantucket her permanent home, and since that time she has been involved with multiple island nonprofit organizations promoting literacy, the arts, education, youth athletics, housing, and supporting those experiencing homelessness on Nantucket. Most notably, Kaley worked at the Nantucket Atheneum for four years, spending time in the Development Department before creating the position of Communications and Outreach Manager. Kaley has been with the Nantucket Book Foundation since 2020.

When she's not working, Kaley loves to read, hike, and spend time with her family: cat Blue, husband Hugh, and their budding bookworm Wesley!
